Carpet Restretching
Why do I have bumps on my carpet?
1) Poor installation
2) Excessive wear
3) Damage/premature aging
4) Improper cleaning methods
.
Carpet restretching removes buckles and greatly improves the appearance of your carpets. We can also repair seams, burn spots, patch holes and install new metals where the carpet and tile meet. A new service for red stain removal is now available as well.
"Cut and plug" is used to repair small areas of carpet that are burned, stained or similarly damaged. The damaged piece of carpet is cut out and a good piece of matching carpet is hot-glued into its place. If leftover matching carpet isn't available, a small piece is usually taken from a closet or similar hidden location.
Restretching is used for loose and wrinkled carpets. Like a facelift, restretching makes carpeting tight again. This also prolongs the carpet's life by eliminating wrinkles which can cause the carpet to wear more quickly from the constant back and forth bending that occurs when they are stepped on. It also reduces the danger of tripping on the loose material.
Types of Carpet Repairs We Do :
- We repair open seams in doorways, halls, and walk areas.
- We re-stretch loose carpet (ripples, waves, buckles) from improper installation, normal wear-and-tear or high traffic. This will extend the life of your carpet because loose carpet wears prematurely.
- We do pad replacement for pet problems, water damage, mildew, etc.
- We install custom molding where your carpet meets your hard surface floors (thresholds, bathrooms, kitchens, entryways and the like). We install tack stripping on wood and cement surfaces.
- We patch damaged areas of carpet - from burns, tears, permanent stains, bleach spots, etc. - without having to replace the entire carpet. We do this by replacing just the damaged section with a piece of carpet from a remnant or piece of carpet from an inconspicuous area like a closet.

ON TIME is fully licensed and insured so you won’t have to worry about liability. We also guarantee all work up to 30 days.
